Positive Behaviour Facilitator

Team Educate are seeking passionate individuals who wants to make a positive impact on young people.

In this role you will be supporting students with learning difficulties, social and emotional mental health issues, students who struggle with being in the classroom or completing classwork or those with difficult backgrounds – any of which may hinder their learning and behaviour within the classroom.

As a Positive Behaviour Facilitator, you will also be responsible for the general safety of the students whilst on the school premises. Prior experience of working/volunteering with young people with special needs or mental health is desirable.

Previous successful candidates have a background in care or youth work, are creative and adaptable and most of all, have a willingness to learn and to support these students.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting class teachers to inspire, motivate and challenge, providing a high-quality learning experience for all pupils.
  • Manage behaviour appropriately and effectively – keeping the safety of the student(s) at the centre.
  • Provide high quality pastoral support, care and guidance that promotes personal development and the welfare of the students.
  • Contributing to whole school environment through supporting and implementing policies and procedures.

To be eligible for this position, you are required to have the following:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide references that can be contacted
