About the role
As a Nursery Assistant, you will help provide a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment for children. You will support daily activities, supervise play, and assist with personal care and routines. We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting children’s learning and play activities
- Helping to plan and set up engaging activities
- Assisting with meals, snacks and toileting routines
- Ensuring the nursery remains clean, safe and tidy
- Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
- Following safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies
- Observing children and contributing to learning records (if applicable)
About you
- Warm, patient and enthusiastic about working with young children
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Reliable, flexible and willing to learn
- Experience in a nursery or childcare setting (desirable but not essential)
- Relevant childcare qualification (e.g., Level 2/3) or willingness to work towards one
- Willing to complete an enhanced DBS check
