Year 3 Primary School Teacher required for a school in Bristol
At Team Educate, we are working closely with a Primary School in Bristol who are in need for a Year 3 Teacher to start with them, next term. You will be working in a Year 3 class with full class responsibility paired with an experienced primary school teacher.
The school is a 2-form entry, and this is a full-time position, to start in Feb 2026 until July 2025 in the first instance, with the high possibility for this to continue in September 2026. Your role as a Year 3 Primary School Teacher, is to mark, assess and plan appropriate lessons for your class of 28 students. You will have the full support of the senior leadership team, and passed plans left plans from the previous Year 5 Primary School Teacher, who is going off on maternity leave. There may also be a possibility for a 1–2-week handover where start, before the teachers leaves to give you the opportunity to get full up to speed.
Duties of Primary School Teacher.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Work closely with partner teacher to deliver lessons for core and foundation lessons
- Mark and plan where necessary
- Assist in educating children through various activities and tasks
- Implementing individual education plans for students
Experience required of a Primary School Teacher
- Experience working with children, particularly primary schools
- Knowledge of special education practices and principles
- Ability to work effectively with children with complex learning and physical needs
- Strong communication skills to interact with teachers, parents, and students in monitoring progress
- Relevant Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or degree equivalent
The Role:
- Position: Year 3 Teacher
- Duration: Full Time (Monday – Friday 8.15 – 16:00) Term time only
- Pay Rate: £150 – £200 per day
- Size of Class: 28
- Size of School: 2 form entry school
- Duration: February 2026 – July 2026 (with option to extend)
The successful applicant will be required to have:
- A valid DBS certificate, or be willing to put an application through
- A right to work in the UK
- A passion for teaching and learning
- 2 years’ worth of contactable references
